Leave the M6 at Junction 19. Take the A556 signed to Manchester/Altrincham, then join the M56 towards Manchester Airport. After a few miles, leave the M56 and join the M60 towards Stockport. Leave the M60 at Junction 1 and turn right at the second set of traffic lights to go onto the A560 towards Cheadle. Then turn left into Edgeley Road (there is a pub at the left hand corner at the lights at this junction). The ground is down the raod on the right and is well sign-posted.
It is important to note that there is limited parking available at Edgeley Park.
Stockport station is 10 minutes walk (approx. half a mile) from Edgeley Park. Use rear entrance for shortest route, then turn left up Station Road and continue up the hill towards the roundabout. Go straight over the roundabout and turn left into Caroline Street.
There is an hourly service from Sheffield, which originates variously from Nottingham/Derby, Lincolnshire, Peterborough and East Anglia. Also, there is a useful Midland Mainline service, which runs from London St. Pancras to Manchester Piccadilly and calls at Luton, Wellingborough, Kettering, Market Harborough, Leicester and Stockport.
There is a frequent service to Stockport from Leeds, running at about 3 or 4 per hour, originating in Newcastle, Scarborough, York and Hull. All these trains are bound for Manchester Airport, it is necessary to change at Manchester Piccadilly, where there is a frequent service to Stockport. If you are travelling via Bradford, there is a service to Manchester Victoria and you can use your rail ticket on the Metro to transfer between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport.
There is a frequent service from Liverpool, Southport and Blackpool.
Stockport is well connected by an extensive local bus service. Numbers 11, 368, 369 pass Edgeley Park directly, and many services have stops outside Stockport College, which is just 5 minutes away by foot. A number of longer distance bus services, such as TP from Nottingham/Derby also operate through Stockport. Manchester International Airport has many internal and international flights, and is about 20 minutes away by taxi. Train connections are made by travelling to Manchester Piccadilly and changing for Stockport.
