LV= Breakthrough Player Award voting Gathers Pace

Date: Fri 01 Mar 2013

There is still time to vote for your LV= Breakthrough Player Award. To choose your nominee all you have to do is visit here before voting closes at midnight on March 10.

Launched last season, the LV= Breakthrough Player Award 2011-12 unearthed some future international stars and this season’s shortlist of nominees is no different.

Designed to recognise the outstanding young players competing in the LV= Cup, a shortlist of ten nominees from this seasons tournament has been drawn up and includes Marland Yarde.

Eight of the nominees have been chosen based on their match statistics during the pool stages of the tournament. Completing the shortlist of ten nominees are two players that registered incredible overall statistics throughout all four initial rounds of the tournament.

Following in the footsteps of last year’s victor Jonny May (Gloucester Rugby), the 2012-13 LV= Cup Breakthrough Player will donate £1,000 to a grassroots rugby initiative of his choice, as well as taking home the LV= Breakthrough Player trophy.
